Activate & Assign a Dash Camera

The Dash Cameras feature lets you capture road and in-cab footage and monitor AI safety events for your fleet directly from the Fleet Portal. This article walks you through purchasing and activating your dash cameras, naming them for easy identification, and assigning them to your vehicles and drivers.

Activate Dash Cameras

1. Navigate to the Cameras tab in the sidebar menu

2. Click Add camera

3. On the Checkout screen, choose the billing type

4. Enter the dash cameras’ IMEIs separated by commas. IMEIs are found on the label of each camera — have them ready before installing the devices into the truck.

5. Add a payment method or select an existing one

6. Click Pay Now.

Once payment is successful, all added dash cameras appear in your account. New devices begin showing activity immediately when installed into the truck.

Name a Dash Camera

Use custom names for quick management and identification of your devices.

1. Select a dash camera from the list.

2. Next to its IMEI, click on the Edit icon

3. Enter your custom name and Save your changes.

Assign the Dash Camera

For accurate footage, AI alerts, and safety scoring, we recommend assigning each dash camera to a driver and to a vehicle.

1. In the Assignment section, click the Assign button.

2. Select the corresponding driver and vehicle from the list

3. Click Assign.
